On March 6, 2024, the Nifty 50 rose by 0.53%, reaching 22,474, while the Sensex increased by 0.55%, closing at 74,085. Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) and Domestic Institutional Investors (DIIs) were seen in buying activity of about ₹2,766 crore and ₹2,149 crore worth of investments, respectively.

Top Gainers and Losers

On March 6, 2024, Nifty Private Bank, Nifty Healthcare, Nifty Bank and Nifty IT saw increases, while Nifty Media, Nifty Realty, Nifty Oil & Gas and Nifty Metal experienced a decline. Focusing on individual movers, Pidilite Industries, ICICI Prudential Life Insurance, Varun Beverages and Bajaj Auto emerged as the leading gainers. In contrast, Samvardhana Motherson, Indigo, Zomato and Cholamandalam Investment & Finance were the primary losers.

KPI Green Energy has received a new order for solar power projects, leading to a nearly 3% increase in KPI Green Energy share price, closing at ₹1,698.
Ajmera Realty & Infra India has signed a structured deal worth up to ₹500 crore with Standard Chartered and ICICI Bank. This news resulted in an increase in Ajmera Realty & Infra share price of the company by ~3%, closing at ₹740.
