Over the weekend, news of failed talks between the US and Iran weighed on global sentiment, leading to weak cues in the morning. In line with this, the benchmark index Nifty opened with a gap down below the 23600 mark. However, as the session progressed, there was no follow-through selling. Instead, prices gradually recovered most of the early losses, with Nifty touching an intraday high near 23900 before eventually settling below 23850, ending the day with a loss of around 0.86%.
