Waaree Renewables Solar EPC Order Climbs to ₹1,480 Crore After ₹247 Crore Revision

Waaree Renewable Technologies Ltd (WRTL) has received a revised scope of work for an existing solar EPC contract. The total value of the contract has increased by ₹246.92 crore, bringing the updated order size to ₹1,480.40 crore. 

The update was communicated to the exchanges on June 20, 2025.

Project Details

The order is for a 2,012.47 megawatt peak (MWp) ground-mounted solar photovoltaic (PV) project. The contract remains with the same domestic client. There is no change to the original terms and conditions. Execution timelines for the expanded scope are to be decided mutually.

Contract Timeline

Waaree had first announced this EPC contract in November 2024. At the time, it was one of the company’s larger projects in the renewable segment. The work is being done for a client that is not linked to Waaree’s promoters or group companies, and the transaction does not fall under the category of related party dealings.

Revised Structure

The addition to contract value has come under the existing agreement, and no new contract has been issued. The company noted that the revised scope does not alter the nature of the engagement and that all previous conditions continue to apply.

Waaree Renewable share price closed at ₹986.90 on June 20, 2025, at 3:30 PM, rising 4.63% for the day, while down 2.36% over the past month and up 15.26% in the last 6 months.
