Wow Momo Foods Raises ₹75 Crore from Madhusudan Kela

Wow Momo Foods, a Kolkata-based quick service restaurant chain has raised fresh capital to support its next stage of growth, adding a new investor to its ongoing bridge funding round. 

Funding and Investor Details 

As per news reports, the company said it has received ₹75 crore from Madhusudan Kela, founder of Singularity AMC. The investment forms part of Wow Momo Foods’ bridge round, which has already seen participation from Khazanah Nasional Berhad, 360One and Haldiram’s Kamal Agarwal.  

As per Media reports had earlier indicated that the bridge round raised around ₹130–150 crore. 

Expansion Plans, Brand Portfolio and Financial Performance  

Founded in 2008 by Sagar Daryani and Binod Homagai, Wow Momo Foods operates more than 800 outlets across over 80 cities in India and plans to expand into more than 100 cities while scaling its network to over 1,500 stores within the next 2 years.  

The company operates four brands, Wow! Momo, Wow! China, Wow! Chicken and Wow! Kulfi, positioning itself as a multi-brand player in India’s quick service restaurant market.  

Wow Momo Foods closed FY 2024–25 with revenue of over ₹640 crore, reflecting growth of more than 30% compared with the previous year, with same-store sales growth exceeding 40%, and is targeting revenue of ₹850 crore in FY 2025–26.
