Sarvam AI has launched the Sarvam Startup Program, a new initiative aimed at enabling early-stage companies to develop artificial intelligence applications using the company’s models and infrastructure, as per news reports.
The programme focuses on supporting builders in India’s rapidly evolving AI ecosystem by providing technical resources and operational support.
Under the programme, selected startups will receive six to twelve months of API credits, calibrated according to usage needs.
Participants will also gain access to Sarvam’s range of AI tools, which include Speech-to-Text, Text-to-Speech, translation capabilities, chat completion services and document intelligence APIs.
The platform has been designed with multilingual capabilities and supports more than 22 Indian languages along with English, reflecting the company’s emphasis on AI systems that can operate effectively across India’s linguistic diversity.
Sarvam AI stated that the programme is intended to reduce the technical barriers startups face when deploying AI applications.
In addition to infrastructure and API access, participants will receive priority engineering support from Sarvam’s technical team and may also benefit from co-branded case studies and launch amplification once their products go live.
The company said the initiative is meant to allow startups to focus on product innovation rather than managing the complexity of backend AI deployment.
In its announcement, Sarvam AI said, “AI is the era for builders… we want to power the startup ecosystem with high-quality models and tools so they can create with full agency.”
Founded by Vivek Raghavan and Pratyush Kumar, Sarvam AI is working on developing foundational generative AI models and APIs designed for multilingual applications in India.
The company recently showcased its capabilities at the India AI Impact Summit 2026 in New Delhi, highlighting its focus on building AI infrastructure tailored for India’s languages and digital ecosystem.
