Razorpay has partnered with Sarvam AI to develop voice-first conversational commerce solutions aimed at transforming how users interact with digital platforms.

The collaboration focuses on enabling transactions through natural spoken interactions rather than traditional app-based or text-driven interfaces.

The initiative reflects a growing shift toward artificial intelligence-powered experiences that simplify digital commerce and make it more accessible to a wider audience.

Early Implementation with Swiggy

As part of the collaboration, Swiggy will act as an early partner in deploying the technology. Customers will be able to order food through voice conversations using Sarvam’s chat platform, Indus App.

Through this system, users can discover food items, place orders, and complete payments through a single conversational interaction with an AI assistant. The technology is designed to handle the entire process, from interpreting user requests to processing transactions, within one seamless conversation.

Integration Across Business Platforms

Beyond the Indus App rollout, businesses will also have the ability to embed similar voice-enabled commerce tools into their own digital platforms. In an early pilot project, a conversational assistant has already been introduced on the website of The Derma Co, allowing users to browse and purchase products through voice commands.

This approach aims to help companies provide more intuitive customer experiences while reducing dependence on text-heavy applications.

AI Integration for Developers

Sarvam’s technology will also be integrated into Razorpay’s Agent Studio platform. This integration will allow developers to build multilingual AI agents capable of interacting with customers in multiple languages, including Hindi and Hinglish.

The goal is to expand digital commerce accessibility by enabling users to interact with services in natural, everyday language.

Conclusion

The collaboration between Razorpay and Sarvam AI highlights the growing adoption of AI-driven interfaces in digital commerce. By enabling transactions through voice interactions and natural language conversations, the partnership aims to create a new category of AI-native commerce that simplifies online transactions and enhances user accessibility.
