Deepinder Goyal co-founded LAT Aerospace has initiated a structured hiring phase to enhance its software and autonomy functions as it advances development of its upcoming aircraft systems.
The company, co-founded by Surobhi Das and Deepinder Goyal, is focusing on building software architectures needed for its STOL demonstrator and future aviation platforms.
With growing R&D operations and product plans, the firm is expanding its technical workforce across multiple domains.
As per news reports, LAT Aerospace has begun recruiting engineers across key software verticals as it works toward establishing a comprehensive technology stack for its aircraft.
In a recent update, co-founder Surobhi Das stated that developing reliable and capable software remains central to the organisation’s next stages of progress.
She noted that software continues to be one of the least developed areas within the domestic aerospace sector, which positions LAT’s efforts as an important component of its broader roadmap.
According to Das, the company is onboarding talent for roles in flight control, edge-based perception and integrated mission command and control systems. Current listings on the organisation’s website include multiple opportunities in software engineering, machine learning and computer vision, reflecting the technical depth required for its programmes.
The recruitment announcement follows an earlier update from co-founder Goyal, who shared that the firm’s electric unmanned aerial vehicle is close to undertaking its initial test flight. Designed for flights of up to 60 minutes, the platform is expected to be capable of covering short regional routes such as Mumbai to Pune.
Das emphasised that the software layer that will power these systems is still being developed, and invited engineers specialising in robotics, autonomy and hardware-software integration to contribute to the project.
