Drone delivery startup Skye Air Mobility is set to expand its operations following a successful $9 million Series B funding round. This Delhi NCR-based company aims to enhance its last-mile delivery services using drones, providing innovative logistics solutions in India.
Founded in 2019 by Ankit Kumar, Skye Air Mobility has developed a robust system for last-mile deliveries via drones. The recent funding round includes $4 million expected this month, with the remaining amount being secured over 3 to 4 months. Major investors like IAN Alpha Fund, AVNM Ventures, and more have participated.
With the new funds, Skye Air plans to broaden its reach beyond Gurugram, targeting areas such as Noida, Greater Noida, Faridabad, and other regions in Delhi NCR. The current fleet of 33 drones will be leveraged to extend services to Bengaluru, Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad, and Kolkata.
Skye Air operates a B2B2C model, collaborating with D2C brands, e-commerce platforms, and logistics providers. Some notable partners include Flipkart and Bluedart. The firm facilitates expedited deliveries by using skye pods from where the packages are distributed by walkers.

As the company continues to innovate, it positions itself as a key player in the logistics sector.
