Share Market Pre Open Updates – February 27, 2024

On February 26, 2024, the Nifty 50 fell by 0.41% to 22,122, and the Sensex decreased by 0.48% to 72,790. The market has been consolidating for four sessions, with trades between 21,800 and 22,300. Foreign Institutional Investors (FII) sold off around ₹285 crores, while Domestic Institutional Investors (DII) sold off about ₹5 crores.

Yesterday, the Nifty Oil & Gas, Auto, and Realty sectors rose, while IT, Metal, Consumer Durables, and Healthcare sectors fell. Top gainers included Adani Energy Solutions, Adani Total Gas, Adani Green Energy, and Zydus Lifesciences, with Asian Paints, Apollo Hospitals, Hindalco Industries, and PNB as the biggest losers.

• PNC Infratech received a Letter of Acceptance from the Madhya Pradesh government for a construction project valued at ₹699 crore. Following this announcement, the share price of PNC Infratech saw an increase of approximately 7%, closing at ₹452.
• GE Power India has been awarded a project worth around ₹6 crores by Tata Power. Following this news, the share price of GE Power India rose by roughly 8%, closing at ₹317.
