Waaree Renewable Technologies announced that it has signed a contract for the execution of engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) works for a ground-mounted solar photovoltaic project with a capacity of 300 MWac / 420 MWp. The company disclosed the development through a regulatory filing on March 10, 2026.
The contract relates to the development and execution of the solar power facility, which will involve construction and installation work required to bring the plant into operation.
The EPC contract involves the design, procurement of equipment, and construction of the solar PV project. The plant will be built as a ground-mounted installation, a common format for utility-scale solar projects.
Under the arrangement, Waaree Renewable Technologies will undertake the engineering and construction activities associated with the plant. The total order size corresponds to a generation capacity of 300 MWac, equivalent to 420 MWp of solar modules.
The order has been awarded by a domestic entity involved in renewable power generation, according to the company’s filing.
The company classified the contract as a commercial order. It also stated that the promoters or promoter group do not have any interest in the entity awarding the project.
Waaree Renewable Technologies said the project is expected to be completed during financial year 2027-28, in line with the terms of the contract.
Large solar EPC projects typically involve multiple stages, including site preparation, installation of photovoltaic modules, electrical infrastructure, and grid connectivity before commissioning.
The company reported the contract under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015. The filing noted that the company received intimation regarding the order on March 10, 2026.
Waaree Renewable Technologies also clarified that the contract does not fall under related party transactions.
