Varun Beverages Share Price in Focus; Enters Exclusive Distribution Agreement with Mondelez South Africa Proprietary

Varun Beverages (Zimbabwe) (Private) Limited, a subsidiary of Varun Beverages Limited, has entered into an exclusive distribution agreement with Mondelez South Africa Proprietary Limited, as per an exchange filing dated September 24, 2026.
The agreement will come into effect from October 1, 2026, and covers the distribution of Mondelez products in Zimbabwe.
Products Covered Under Agreement
The arrangement covers four product categories — chocolate, biscuits, candy, and gum. Varun Beverages (Zimbabwe) will have exclusive distribution rights for these Mondelez products across the Republic of Zimbabwe under the agreement.
Focus on Confectionery
The new business falls under the confectionery segment, according to the company’s stock exchange disclosure. The agreement expands Varun Beverages’ distribution portfolio beyond its existing operations and brings a wider range of snack products into its network in Zimbabwe.
No New Capex Planned
Varun Beverages does not currently envisage any capital expenditure for the arrangement. The company plans to use its existing distribution network for the Mondelez portfolio, rather than setting up a separate distribution infrastructure.
This means the agreement is structured around the distribution capabilities already available with Varun Beverages (Zimbabwe). The company has specifically cited leveraging its existing snacks distribution network as the expected benefit from the arrangement.
Zimbabwe Operations
The agreement is limited to the Republic of Zimbabwe, where Varun Beverages’ subsidiary will handle the distribution of the specified Mondelez categories.
The company has not disclosed any investment amount for the arrangement, stating that no capex is envisaged as of now.
