TCS Share Price Surges Over 2%; Partners with DGCX to Upgrade Derivatives Market Infrastructure

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has entered into a partnership with the Dubai Gold & Commodities Exchange (DGCX) to upgrade the exchange's technology infrastructure, as per the exchange filing. The project will bring trading, clearing, and surveillance functions onto an integrated platform.
The new setup is being designed to give DGCX more flexibility as it adds products and expands the markets it serves. TCS said the platform will also improve operational efficiency.
TCS To Bring Multiple Platforms Together
The technology stack will include TCS BaNCS for Market Infrastructure for central counterparty clearing and Quartz for Surveillance, which will be used to detect market manipulation, fraud, and other abnormalities.
TCS will also provide BaNCS Securities Trading and its Quartz Gateway for market connectivity. The latter will include generative AI-powered reporting, analytics, and decision-making. Exchange trading and matching technology will come from a global exchange partner.
Energy, Currencies and Precious Metals Covered
The upgraded infrastructure will support DGCX's derivatives business across energy commodities, currencies, equities, bullion and precious metals.
The exchange also plans to have the technology base for products linked to emerging areas such as crypto and tokenised assets.
DGCX had launched its Gold Spot T+0 Contract in June 2026, which the exchange described as the GCC's first same-day physically settled spot gold product on a regulated exchange.
DGCX and TCS On the Partnership
DGCX Chairman and CEO Ahmed Bin Sulayem said the new technology foundation will support the exchange's offering across several markets and give it more room to introduce products.
TCS President R. Vivekanand said the combination of TCS BaNCS, Quartz and partner technology would help DGCX build a modern, scalable platform for growth and product development.
