On October 8, 2026, Tata Consultancy Services Limited (TCS) released its audited consolidated interim financial results for the quarter and six-month period ending September 30, 2026, as per the exchange filings.  

Tata Consultancy Services Q2 FY27 Earnings Results and Dividend 

The company reported a consolidated total income of ₹74,525 crore for the September 2026 quarter, reflecting an 11.8% increase year-on-year (YoY) and a 0.9% rise quarter-on-quarter (QoQ).  

Net profit for the same period rose by 14.9% YoY to ₹13,934 crore. 

In the quarter ending September 30, 2026, TCS achieved consolidated revenue from operations of ₹73,188 crore. The total consolidated profit for this period was ₹13,934 crore.  

The company declared a second interim dividend of ₹12 per equity share for the financial year 2026-27, with a face value of ₹1 each.  

This dividend is scheduled for payment on October 30, 2026, to shareholders registered by October 14, 2026. 

6-Month Financial Overview 

For the 6-month period ending September 30, 2026, TCS generated a total revenue of ₹1,45,463 crore, with a total profit of ₹27,354 crore.  

On a standalone basis, the revenue for the quarter was ₹60,441 crore, and the net profit was ₹14,104 crore. The standalone revenue for the half-year period was ₹1,19,994 crore, with a total profit of ₹27,746 crore. 

Segment Revenue Analysis 

The Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) sector remained TCS's largest vertical, generating ₹28,882 crore during the quarter.  

The Consumer Business sector followed with ₹11,137 crore. The Communication, Media, and Technology segment contributed ₹10,862 crore, while the Life Sciences and Manufacturing segments generated ₹7,589 crore and ₹7,346 crore, respectively.

Corporate Acquisitions and Balance Sheet 

TCS Netherlands B.V., a subsidiary of TCS, signed an agreement to acquire MHP Management- und IT-Beratung GmbH for an enterprise value of EUR 320 million, equivalent to ₹3,484 crore.  

As of September 30, 2026, TCS's total consolidated assets were valued at ₹1,90,782 crore, with total equity attributable to shareholders at ₹1,18,986 crore. Standalone total assets were recorded at ₹1,58,286 crore, with corporate equity at ₹96,604 crore. 

Cash Flow Analysis 

During the six-month period, TCS generated net cash from operating activities amounting to ₹25,801 crore. Investing activities resulted in a net cash utilisation of ₹9,390 crore, while financing activities accounted for a net cash outflow of ₹17,775 crore.  

The final consolidated cash and cash equivalents stood at ₹5,106 crore. On a standalone basis, operating activities generated ₹18,235 crore, with investing activities using ₹1,732 crore and financing activities recording a net cash usage of ₹17,043 crore. The standalone cash balance at the end of the period was ₹1,321 crore.

As of October 08, 2026, at 3:47 PM, Tata Consultancy Services share price on NSE was trading at ₹2,076.00 down by 0.21% from the previous closing price. 

Conclusion 

TCS reported a total income of ₹74,525 crore for the September 2026 quarter, marking an 11.8% YoY increase. Net profit rose by 14.9% YoY to ₹13,934 crore. The BFSI sector generated ₹28,882 crore, and the company declared a second interim dividend of ₹12 per share.
