KPMG Resigns From Four UK Subsidiaries

Homefield Pvt. UK Limited is a holding company, while TCE Group Limited and Brunner Mond Group Limited are intermediate holding companies. All three have no other operations, according to the filing.

British Salt Limited is the operating company among the four and accounts for around 5% of Tata Chemicals' consolidated revenue.

KPMG had been appointed as auditor of these companies on July 6, 2022. Its term was scheduled to run until March 31, 2027.

Audit Fees Behind the Resignation

The reason given for KPMG's resignation was related to audit fees. The firm said that continuing with the audit fees charged in previous years was no longer acceptable to the respective companies.

The same reason appears in the resignation statements for Homefield, TCE Group, Brunner Mond Group and British Salt. KPMG also stated that there was no other matter that needed to be brought to the attention of the companies' members or creditors.

Tata Chemicals said the outgoing auditors had not raised any concerns about the affairs of these subsidiaries with their respective audit committees or boards.

KNAV Appointed as New Auditor

Following KPMG's resignation, KNAV Limited has been appointed as the statutory auditor of all four UK subsidiaries. The change was communicated to the companies through letters dated September 25, 2026.

The filing also includes KPMG's resignation letters and statements for each of the four companies. The letters confirm that the resignations became effective on September 16.
