On December 22, 2025, Indian equity benchmarks closed with strong gains. The BSE Sensex surged 638.12 points (0.75%) to end at 85,567.48, while the NSE Nifty 50 climbed 206 points (0.79%) to settle at 26,172.40, reflecting broad-based buying across sectors.

Market participants on December 23 are expected to track developments in the following stocks.

Ambuja Cements Ltd / ACC Ltd

ACC Ltd’s board has approved a proposed merger with its parent company, Ambuja Cements. Under the amalgamation scheme, Ambuja Cements will issue 328 equity shares for every 100 shares held in ACC.

HCL Technologies Ltd

HCL Technologies announced that its software division, HCLSoftware, plans to acquire Belgium-based startup Wobby. The acquisition is intended to strengthen HCL’s generative AI capabilities, particularly through Wobby’s AI-driven data analyst agents.

Sanghvi Movers Ltd

Sanghvi Movers said its subsidiary, Sangreen Future Renewables, has secured wind balance-of-plant EPC contracts worth ₹428.72 crore. The orders have been awarded by domestic independent power producers (IPPs) for wind projects with a combined capacity of 270.6 MW.

Berger Paints India Ltd

UK Paints (India) Private Ltd, part of the promoter group of Berger Paints India, has informed the exchanges that it will acquire a 14.48% stake in the company through an internal restructuring exercise.

Prestige Estates Projects Ltd

Prestige Estates Projects announced the acquisition of a 25-acre land parcel in Medavakkam, Chennai. The land offers a development potential of approximately 5 million square feet and an estimated revenue potential exceeding ₹5,000 crore.
