Ravindra Energy Share Price in Focus; Associate Partners with HPCL for EV Charging Network

Ravindra Energy Ltd has informed exchanges through a filing dated July 27, 2026, that its associate company, Energy In Motion Ltd (EIM), has signed an agreement with Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL) to develop charging and battery-swapping infrastructure for heavy electric commercial vehicles, as per the exchange filings.
The facilities will be set up at selected HPCL retail outlets across India as part of a phased expansion.
Network to Expand Across Freight Corridors
The first phase will focus on freight routes connecting Mumbai–Pune, Delhi–Jaipur, and Chennai–Bengaluru. According to the company, the rollout is expected to take place over the next 18 to 24 months.
The charging stations will be linked to EIM's digital platform, which will provide information on charger availability, enable digital payments, and support remote monitoring.
Companies to Share Operational Responsibilities
The agreement assigns separate responsibilities to both companies. EIM will own and manage the battery inventory along with the charging and battery-swapping equipment.
HPCL will provide space, electricity, utilities, and other facilities at its outlets. HPCL has a network of more than 25,000 retail outlets across India, including locations on major highways and expressways.
Battery Swapping to Be Offered
The infrastructure will include both charging and battery-swapping facilities. For vehicles designed for battery swapping, a discharged battery can be replaced with a charged one in about seven minutes.
The company said the arrangement is intended to reduce the time vehicles spend off the road and improve charging access for freight transport operating over longer distances.
Existing Operations and Expansion Plans
EIM launched its Ashwa 55-tonne electric tractor in August 2025 and has already commissioned six heavy-duty battery-swapping stations in the Delhi-NCR region and the JNPA port area.
These facilities have a combined capacity of 840 battery swaps per day. The company plans to increase its network to 40 heavy commercial vehicle swap-cum-charging stations by the end of March 2027.
