
NTPC Green Energy Limited has commenced commercial operations of the first 50.4 MW phase of its Vanki Wind Energy Project located at Nakhatrana, Kutch, Gujarat, as per the exchange filings.
The project is being developed by NTPC Renewable Energy Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC Green Energy Limited.
The first 50.4 MW capacity of the wind project became commercially operational from 8 July 2026.
With this addition, the commercial capacity of the NTPC Green Energy group has increased from 10,671.40 MW to a total installed capacity of 10,721.80 MW.
The Vanki Wind Energy Project adds new wind power capacity to the group's renewable energy portfolio in Gujarat.
The commissioning also strengthens NTPC Green Energy's operational renewable assets through its wholly owned subsidiary, further expanding its clean energy footprint.
NTPC Green Energy Limited is the renewable energy arm of NTPC Limited and focuses on developing utility-scale renewable power projects across India.
The company develops and operates solar, wind and hybrid energy projects through its subsidiaries, supporting India's transition towards cleaner sources of energy.

As of 08 July 2026, at 12:15 PM, NTPC Green Energy Limited share price was trading at ₹93.66 per share, reflecting a surge of 1.07% from the previous trading session.
The commissioning of the first 50.4 MW phase of the Vanki Wind Energy Project increases NTPC Green Energy's installed capacity to 10,721.80 MW. The addition further expands the company's renewable energy portfolio and operational generation capacity.
