
Tata Power has set an ambitious goal to achieve ₹1 lakh crore in revenue and ₹10,000 crore in profit by 2030.
This plan involves a major expansion of its solar and nuclear segments, as revealed during the annual general meeting by Chairman Natarajan Chandrasekaran, as per The Economic Times news report.
By 2030, Tata Power is set to increase its revenue to ₹1 lakh crore alongside a profit target of ₹10,000 crore. As per the chairman, this growth will be driven by expansions in generation, transmission, distribution, renewables, and manufacturing sectors.
In FY26, Tata Power reported a consolidated revenue of ₹63,681 crore and a net profit of ₹5,212 crore.
Tata Power plans to enhance its solar manufacturing capabilities by adding a 10 GW project in Odisha. Currently, the company operates a solar cell and module manufacturing capacity of 4.9 GW combined with plants in Tamil Nadu and Bengaluru.
The addition of the Odisha project is expected to significantly boost this capacity.
In a key strategic shift, Tata Power is also exploring entry into the nuclear power sector, especially with small modular reactors (SMRs).
The company is engaging with Nuclear Power Corporation of India (NPCIL) and conducting feasibility studies in three states, anticipating a detailed project report within six months.

Efforts are also underway to expand its distribution network in states moving towards power distribution privatisation. Currently, over 13.1 million customers across various Indian states benefit from Tata Power's distribution services.
The company has already commissioned 2.5 GW of renewable projects and maintains a strong pipeline of 5.1 GW.
