
Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has announced that its Power Transmission & Distribution (PT&D) business vertical has secured a new set of engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) orders in the Middle East.
The contracts secured by L&T’s PT&D division include the construction of one 380 kV substation and two 132 kV substations in the Middle East. These projects are intended to strengthen transmission infrastructure and support reliable electricity supply to major load centres.
According to the company, the substations are expected to help ease congestion in existing power grids while improving network efficiency and supporting rising energy consumption in the region.
L&T classified the newly secured contracts under its “Significant” order category. As per the company’s order classification framework, this category includes contracts valued between ₹1,000 crore and ₹2,500 crore.
The projects have been awarded on a turnkey basis, under which L&T will be responsible for the complete execution of the substations, including design, engineering, procurement and construction.
L&T’s Power Transmission & Distribution business provides EPC solutions and digital energy infrastructure services across domestic and international markets. The segment supports utilities, renewable energy developers, industrial customers and infrastructure projects.
The business currently operates across more than 30 countries spanning the SAARC, ASEAN, Middle East, Africa, North America and CIS regions. Its operations include transmission and distribution networks, smart grid systems and last-mile electrification projects.
Shares of Larsen & Toubro were trading at ₹3,872.80 on May 13, 2026, at 10:21 AM on the NSE, up ₹16.30 or 0.42% from the previous close of ₹3,856.50.

L&T’s latest order win in the Middle East adds to its international EPC project portfolio in the power transmission segment. The substation projects are expected to support grid expansion and energy infrastructure development in the region while strengthening the company’s presence in overseas power markets.
