
KPI Green Energy Limited has commissioned a 200 MW (AC) / 269 MW (DC) solar power plant for Coal India Limited at GIPCL's Solar Park in Khavda, Gujarat, as per the exchange filings.
The commissioned capacity forms part of the company's 300 MW (AC) / 405 MW (DC) grid-connected ground-mounted solar photovoltaic (PV) project being executed on an Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) basis. The commissioning has been certified by the Gujarat Energy Development Agency (GEDA).
With the latest commissioning, KPI Green Energy has further strengthened its presence at Khavda, one of India's largest renewable energy hubs.
The company said the project demonstrates its execution capabilities in utility-scale solar power development as it continues work on the remaining capacity of the project.
The commissioned capacity has been developed for Coal India under an EPC contract as part of the larger solar project at GIPCL's Solar Park.
The project contributes 200 MW (AC) / 269 MW (DC) of the planned 300 MW (AC) / 405 MW (DC) capacity, marking another phase in the execution of the utility-scale renewable energy project.
According to the company, the commissioning reinforces its growing footprint in large-scale renewable energy projects while supporting the expansion of solar generation infrastructure in India.
KPI Green Energy added that KP Group remains on course with its ambition of building a 10 GW clean energy portfolio by 2030 as it progresses towards commissioning the balance project capacity.
As of 20 July 2026, at 1:24 PM, KPI Green Energy Ltd share price was trading at ₹410.45 per share, reflecting a surge of 0.21% from the previous trading session.
The commissioning marks a key milestone in KPI Green Energy's EPC project for Coal India at Khavda, increasing the operational capacity of the solar development while further strengthening the company's presence in one of India's largest renewable energy hubs.
