Jindal Worldwide Share Price in Focus; Board Approves Rights Issue of Upto ₹650 Crore

Jindal Worldwide's board has approved a rights issue of up to ₹650 crore, an increase in authorised share capital and the re-appointment of its Vice-Chairman and MD.

Jindal Worldwide Limited has unveiled a series of board-approved proposals centred on capital raising and corporate governance, led by a ₹650 crore rights issue for existing shareholders, as per the exchange filings. 

Alongside the fund-raising plan, the company also approved an increase in its authorised share capital, the re-appointment of its Managing Director and key matters relating to its upcoming Annual General Meeting.  

₹650 Crore Rights Issue Planned 

The company plans to raise up to ₹650 crore through a rights issue of equity shares with a face value of ₹1 each. 

A Securities Issuance Committee has been constituted to finalise the issue price, rights entitlement ratio, record date, payment schedule and other terms. The offer will be made to eligible shareholders on a record date that will be announced later.   

Authorised Capital to Increase 

The Board has also approved a proposal to increase the company's authorised share capital from ₹101 crore to ₹146 crore, expanding the authorised equity share capital from 101 crore shares to 146 crore shares of ₹1 each.  

Managing Director Re-appointed 

The Board approved the re-appointment of Amit Yamunadutt Agarwal as Vice-Chairman and Managing Director, with the new term set to begin on September 3, 2026, following the expiry of his current tenure on September 2, 2026. 

Agarwal has around 27 years of experience in the textile industry, holds an MBA from the USA, and has played a significant role in the company's operations, diversification and growth. He also has experience in the textile and IT sectors.   

AGM Schedule Finalised 

The company said its 40th Annual General Meeting will be held via VC/OAVM on September 1, 2026.  

Shareholders as of August 25, 2026, can vote, while the AGM will consider FY26 accounts, director reappointments, cost auditors' remuneration and an authorised capital increase.

Jindal Worldwide Share Price Performance  

As of 07 August 2026, at 3:17 PM, Jindal Worldwide Ltd share price was trading at ₹38.80 per share, reflecting a surge of 0.78% from the previous trading session. 

Conclusion 

The Board's decisions bring together capital raising, leadership continuity and shareholder matters ahead of the company's upcoming AGM. The proposed rights issue, increase in authorised share capital and management re-appointment form the key business items approved at the meeting.
