Infosys Q1 Bonus Payout Drops 10 Percentage Points Year-Over-Year to 70%

Infosys has paid an average performance bonus of 70% to eligible employees for the April-June quarter, as per The Economic Times report.
The payout was unchanged from the previous quarter but was 10 percentage points lower than the average payout in the same quarter last year.
Bonus payments ranged from 65% to 80% across employee levels and performance categories. The payout varied according to job level and individual performance ratings.
Payouts Across Job Levels
Employees at job levels (JL) 4 and 5 received slightly higher payouts than those at JL6. Among employees rated “outstanding”, the payout was 80% for JL4 and 78% for JL5.
The appraisal categories included “outstanding”, “commendable” and “met expectations”. A separate “non-applicable” category was also part of the payout process.
Employees at JL4, JL5 and JL6 form a significant part of Infosys’ workforce, which stood at 328,062. The company did not respond to an email seeking details of the latest bonus payments.
