Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) has appointed Srividya Venkataraman as its Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Key Managerial Personnel (KMP) with effect from 7 July 2026, as per the exchange filings.
She succeeds K. Vinod, who was serving as Executive Director, Corporate Finance, with additional charge of Treasury. The appointment was approved at the company's board meeting held on 7 July 2026.
Srividya Venkataraman’s Experience in Energy Finance
Srividya Venkataraman brings more than three decades of experience in the Indian energy sector. She is a Chartered Accountant as well as a Cost & Works Accountant, with expertise spanning treasury management, taxation, risk management, investor relations, capital markets and business finance.
Srividya Venkataraman’s Leadership at BPCL
Before joining HPCL, she served as Executive Director, Corporate Treasury at Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL).
In that role, she oversaw treasury, insurance, investor relations, pension fund investments, pricing and taxation. She also led initiatives involving capital structure, investment strategy, risk management and stakeholder engagement, while helping mobilise over ₹30,000 crore in project finance for strategic growth initiatives.
Key Contributions Across Businesses
During her tenure at BPCL, she held leadership positions across the Treasury, Retail and LPG businesses.
As Finance Head of the Retail Business, she contributed to business growth, network expansion, digital transformation, cost optimisation and governance. She also played a role in implementing the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) scheme and Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) in the LPG business.
Financial and Governance Initiatives
Her career includes leading BPCL's maiden international bond issuance, external commercial borrowings, pension fund management, strategic investment planning and insurance optimisation. She also spearheaded digital finance initiatives aimed at improving operational efficiency, transparency and governance.
She has additionally served on the boards of Kannur International Airport Limited, BPCL KIAL Fuel Farm Facilities Pvt. Ltd. and FFPL Finserv Private Limited.
