Dixon Technologies Share Price in Focus; Signs JV Agreement with Gemtek to Manufacture Telecom Products

Dixon Technologies has signed a joint venture agreement with Gemtek Technology to manufacture and supply optical connectivity products in India. The agreement was signed on October 7, 2026.
The new venture will make products such as SFP optical transceivers and BOSA units, which are used in telecom and networking equipment. Dixon will hold 60% in the venture, while Gemtek will own the remaining 40%.
Dixon To Hold 60% Stake
The joint venture will be formed by issuing fresh shares in Dixon Electroconnect, which is currently a wholly owned subsidiary of Dixon Technologies.
Dixon and Gemtek will put money into the company based on valuation reports. Dixon will have 60% of the shares and Gemtek will have 40%. Neither company will own a stake in the other.
Dixon will also be able to appoint three directors to the JV's board, while Gemtek can appoint two. Dixon will have the right to appoint the chairman.
Focus on Telecom and Data Centres
The joint venture will make SFP optical transceivers, BOSA products and other telecom products as agreed by both companies.
Dixon expects the venture to help it enter the data centre, telecom and optical connectivity businesses. Gemtek will bring its experience in optical modules and telecom infrastructure, while Dixon will contribute its manufacturing capabilities.
The products are expected to cater to demand from AI, cloud computing, data centres and high-speed networking.
JV Expected to Start by February 2027
The company expects the joint venture to be completed by February 3, 2027, subject to the required conditions being met.
The company said the JV had no turnover as of March 31, 2026, as it had not started operations. Its authorised and paid-up share capital currently stands at ₹1 lakh.

Dixon Technologies Share Price Performance
As of 07 October 2026, Dixon Technologies (India) Ltd share price closed at ₹12,944 per share, reflecting a decline of 0.55% from the previous trading session.
