LTTS, BITS Pilani and CRENS Forge Alliance to Strengthen India’s National Security Tech

L&T Technology Services (LTTS), BITS Pilani, and the Centre for Research and Excellence in National Security (CRENS) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to work together on research, innovation, and skill-building in the field of national security. Their focus areas include cybersecurity, perimeter safety, digital forensics, and new technologies.
The agreement was signed at BITS Pilani’s Hyderabad campus in the presence of key leaders from all three organisations. CRENS, based at the Hyderabad campus, will be the central hub for this collaboration and will work closely with defence experts, police, and tech professionals.
Focus on Key Security Areas
The partnership aims to strengthen India’s security through various joint initiatives, such as:
- Research Projects
- The teams will work on projects in cybersecurity, digital safety, and surveillance using advanced technologies like AI, quantum computing, and modern communication tools.
- Training and Certifications
- They will offer short-term training programs for professionals working in cybersecurity and related fields.
- Support for Startups
- Startups focusing on security tech will receive mentorship, incubation support, and help in turning ideas into market-ready solutions.
- Policy Advice and Infrastructure Safety
- The group will offer expert advice to government agencies and help create strong policies for protecting important infrastructure.

Resource Sharing and Innovation Events
LTTS and BITS Pilani will also share their labs, tools, and technical knowledge to improve joint capabilities. They plan to host conferences, innovation camps, and mentoring events to stay ahead of new security challenges.
