JSW Energy Achieves 20 GW Locked-in Capacity with New C&I Projects

JSW Energy has made significant strides in the renewable energy sector, reaching a total locked-in generation capacity of 20 GW. This includes 3.1 GW of renewable energy capacity in the Commercial and Industrial (C&I) power market, with notable contributions from both JSW Group’s captive capacity (2,654 MW) and third-party C&I capacity (445 MW).
The company has also partnered with major clients like DCM Shriram Ltd and Indus Towers Ltd, further solidifying its presence in sustainable energy.
On December 16, 2024, JSW Energy share price opened at ₹685.00, up from its previous close of ₹678.60. At 10:39 AM, the share price of JSW Energy was trading at ₹694.20, up by 2.30% on the NSE.
Ambitious Growth Plans for 2030
With a current operational capacity of 7.7 GW across thermal, hydro, and renewable energy, JSW Energy is targeting a 10 GW operational capacity by FY 2025. The company is also focusing on energy storage, with 16.2 GWh of locked-in storage capacity. By 2030, JSW Energy plans to reach 20 GW of generation capacity and 40 GWh of energy storage capacity, working toward its ultimate goal of carbon neutrality by 2050.
