Hindustan Zinc Share Price Rises After Declaring First Interim Dividend for FY26

On June 12, Hindustan Zinc share price opened at ₹518.50, slightly lower than the previous close of ₹520.55. However, the stock soon climbed by 2.22% to hit an intraday high of ₹530 after the company announced its first interim dividend for the financial year 2025-26.
Dividend Announcement and Record Date
The board approved an interim dividend of ₹10 per share, which is 500% of the face value of ₹2 per share. The record date for this dividend has been set as June 17, 2025.
Impact on Vedanta
Vedanta, the promoter of Hindustan Zinc, owns a 63.42% stake in the company. Based on this holding, Vedanta will receive ₹2,679 crore from the dividend payout.
Hindustan Zinc Dividend and Financial Performance
Hindustan Zinc’s last dividend payout was in August 2024, when it declared ₹19 per share. The company reported a strong March 2025 quarter, with a 47% rise in net profit to ₹3,003 crore and a 32% increase in EBITDA to ₹4,820 crore. The EBITDA margin improved to 53%, up from 48.3% a year ago.
