Market Movers: Here Are Today’s High-Volume Buzzers!

After starting the trading session flat, Indian headline indices witnessed a sudden drop, impacted by losses in the banking, financial services, real estate and healthcare sectors. Despite this decline, broader indices were trading notably higher today. The BSE Small-cap Index attracted investors with its notable uptrend in an otherwise weak market.
At 10:55 am, the BSE Sensex fell 0.41% reaching a level of 79,594. The Nifty 50 index declined 0.31% to the 24,249 level. On the Sensex, Tata Motors, Tata Steel and ITC Ltd were among the top gainers, whereas Nestle India, Sun Pharmaceutical Industries and HDFC Bank were among the market draggers.

Shares of Bayer CropScience Ltd witnessed a 51 times surge in trading volume, trading modestly lower at an intraday low of Rs 6,564.10 per share on the BSE.
