Upper Circuit Stocks Today – Stocks Locked in Upper Circuit on 21 August, 2023

On Monday, the benchmark indices were trading green, with Sensex up around 186 points or 0.29% at 65,133 and the Nifty-50 up around 50 points or 0.26% at 19,360. About 2,056 shares have advanced, 1,379 declined, and 201 are unchanged on the BSE.

Top gainers and losers on BSE Sensex Index are as follows:

The top Sensex gainers were NTPC Ltd, Wipro Ltd and Tata Motors Ltd, whereas the top Sensex losers were Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd, Reliance Industries Ltd and Jio Financial Services Ltd.

The BSE Utilities Index was the only gaining among the sectorial indices and BSE Energy Index was the top losing sector. The BSE Utilities Index soared 1.85%, led by Adani Power Ltd and Adani Transmission Ltd while the BSE Energy Index was down 0.09% dragged down by Reliance Industries Ltd and Jio Financial Services Ltd.

The indices in the broader markets were trading higher, with the BSE Mid-cap index up 0.60% and the BSE Small-cap index up 0.50%, respectively. The top mid-cap gainers were Adani Power Ltd and Max Healthcare Institute Ltd while the top small-cap gainers were VLS Finance Ltd and Tamilnad Mercantiles Ltd.

In the pre-opening session, these 3 stocks were trending: KEC International Ltd, Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd and Jai Corp Ltd.
