On Wednesday, the benchmark indices were trading lower with Sensex down around 424 points or 0.63% at 66,036 and the Nifty-50 down around 126 points or 0.65% at 19,607. About 1,801 shares have advanced, 1,404 declined, and 175 are unchanged on the BSE.

The top Sensex gainers were Asian Paints Ltd, Maruti Suzuki India Ltd and Power Grid Corporation of India whereas the top Sensex losers were Tata Steel Ltd, Bajaj FinServ Ltd and NTPC Ltd.

The BSE Realty Index was the top gaining among the sectorial indices and BSE Metals Index was the top losing sector. The BSE Realty Index soared 0.71%, led by Sobha Ltd and India Bulls Real Easte Ltd while the BSE Metals Index was down 1.07% dragged down by Tata Steel Ltd and National Aluminium Ltd.

The indices in the broader markets were trading mixed, with the BSE Mid-cap index down 0.49% and the BSE Small-cap index up 0.15%, respectively. The top mid-cap gainers were Oberoi Realty Ltd and Nuvoco Vistas Corporation Ltd while the top small-cap gainers were GE Power India Ltd and D B Corp Ltd.
