Share Market Pre Open Updates – August 12, 2024

On August 09, 2024, the benchmark indices Nifty 50 and Sensex were up  1.04% to close at 24,367.50 and 79.705.91, respectively.

Top Gainers and Losers

On the sectoral front, all the sectors closed in green. However, Nifty PSU Bank, Nifty Media, Nifty Auto, Nifty Realty, and Nifty IT gained the most during the session. Eicher Motors, M&M, Shriram Finance, and Tata Motors were the top gainers, which showed positive movement. On the other hand, HDFC Life, Kotak Bank, Maruti, and Sun Pharma were the top losers of the day.

• Ola Electric debuted with a flat listing on stock exchanges. On NSE, it debuted at ₹75, and at BSE, it debuted at ₹74.99, reflecting a discount of 0.01%.
• During Q1 FY2025, Trent recorded a 134.1% YoY growth in net profit, which resulted in a 10% increase in share price to a record high of ₹6,373.
