Ashok Leyland announced that July 16, 2025, will be the record date to decide which shareholders are eligible for the upcoming 1:1 bonus shares. The allotment date is July 17, and trading of these bonus shares will begin on July 18, 2025.
In an exchange filing on July 9, the company clarified that these dates follow SEBI’s guidelines issued in September 2024.
Details of the Bonus Issue and Dividend
This 1:1 bonus issue means every shareholder will get one free share for each share they already hold. The last time Ashok Leyland issued bonus shares was in 2011, with the same 1:1 ratio.
Alongside the bonus shares, the company approved a dividend payout of ₹4.25 per share. The total dividend payout will be ₹1,248 crore.

- Net profit grew 38.4% year-on-year to ₹1,246 crore, supported by a tax credit of ₹173 crore.
- Revenue rose 5.7% to ₹11,906.7 crore.
