State-owned Container Corporation of India Ltd. (CONCOR) has announced its business performance for the first quarter of the financial year 2025–26, reporting a strong year-on-year growth in volumes. Total throughput reached 12.90 lakh TEUs, marking an 11.3% increase compared to 11.59 lakh TEUs in the same quarter last year. This growth was supported by a 9% rise in domestic volumes and a 12% increase in export-import (EXIM) volumes.
Container Corporation of India Ltd. (CONCOR) has made a noteworthy advancement in cement logistics by launching specialised tank containers for the first time in India, designed specifically for the transportation of bulk cement in loose form. The successful commencement of real-time movement using these containers has begun from My Home Cement Siding (MMHM) in Mellacheruvu, Andhra Pradesh, to CONCOR’s Inland Container Depot (ICD) at Whitefield, Bangalore.
This development represents another important milestone in CONCOR’s ongoing commitment to delivering innovative, efficient, and sustainable logistics solutions for critical sectors of the Indian economy
CONCOR has successfully expanded its market share without compromising profitability. Notably, the rail freight margin improved by 55 basis points, rising from 25.10% to 25.65%, reflecting both growth and efficiency. Operating margins remained stable year-on-year, with a slight change from 30.7% to 30%, while EBITDA margins held steady, moving marginally from 25.5% to 25%. These consistent performances were driven by a strong focus on customer-centric strategies, which strengthened customer trust, and by the operational excellence demonstrated by Team CONCOR.

Despite facing geopolitical headwinds, the company achieved a 2.7% increase in operating income and a 3.35% rise in profit after tax (PAT), which marked the highest PAT in the company’s history. The total turnover for the financial year also reached a record high. Operationally, CONCOR saw a significant 16% growth in double-stack rake handling, increasing from 5,440 rakes last year to 6,302 rakes this year. To support this growth in demand, the company commissioned 11 new rakes during the year, bringing the total rake count to 388. Additionally, approximately 9,000 new containers were procured, expanding the fleet to over 53,000 containers.
