Several Indian banks have recently introduced specialised savings and salary account offerings tailored for women customers. These initiatives aim to address the evolving financial, healthcare, and lifestyle needs of women, including working professionals, entrepreneurs, and individuals seeking enhanced financial security.

By combining traditional banking features with wellness and lifestyle benefits, banks are attempting to provide more holistic financial solutions.

YES Bank Launches Women’s Salary Account

YES Bank has introduced the YES Essence Women’s Salary Account, specifically designed for working women. The account offers a combination of financial convenience and lifestyle benefits aimed at improving the overall banking experience.

One of the key features includes a free locker facility for the first year, allowing account holders to securely store valuables. The bank has also waived demat account charges and provides reward points on spending.

In addition to financial perks, the account includes health-related benefits such as a ₹5 lakh super top-up health cover and annual preventive health check-ups with home sample collection services.

Customers can also access cashback on select expenses through a dedicated debit card, adding lifestyle value to everyday transactions.

Axis Bank Introduces ARISE Women’s Savings Account

Axis Bank has rolled out the ARISE Women’s Savings Account, which focuses on financial guidance, healthcare services, and lifestyle privileges. The account aims to support women customers with personalised financial advice and access to investment recommendations.

Customers also receive demat account fee waivers and the option to seek financial guidance from women advisors. Healthcare benefits include discounts on pharmacy purchases and specialised women’s health tests, along with consultations with doctors. Lifestyle features include complimentary subscriptions, concessions on locker fees, and exclusive gold loan offers. Notably, some of these benefits can also be extended to family members.

Bank of Baroda Expands Women-Centric Offerings

Bank of Baroda has introduced multiple products targeting women customers. The bob Women Sapphire Savings Account combines premium banking services with wellness benefits.

It offers ₹10 lakh cancer coverage, online doctor consultations for family members, lifestyle privileges through a dedicated debit card, and discounts on credit card charges, home loans, and locker services.

For broader financial inclusion, the bob Mahila Shakti Savings Account caters to women in urban and semi-urban areas. This account features low minimum balance requirements and sweep-in facilities that help customers earn higher interest on surplus funds.

Additionally, the bank supports women entrepreneurs through the Baroda Mahila Swavalamban Scheme, which offers loans ranging from ₹20 lakh to ₹7.5 crore. The scheme provides competitive interest rates, reduced processing fees, and collateral-free credit support under the CGTMSE framework.
