PNB MetLife India Insurance has expanded its ULIP investment lineup with the launch of a new index-based equity fund designed for policyholders seeking long-term, dividend-linked market exposure.

Fund Structure and Availability

The newly introduced PNB MetLife Dividend Leaders Index Fund is offered through the insurer’s Goal Ensuring Multiplier and Smart Goal Ensuring Multiplier products.

The fund follows a passive investment approach and combines equity participation with an inbuilt life insurance cover, which is a standard feature of ULIP offerings.

It is positioned for policyholders looking to stay invested over the long term through a rules-based equity strategy.

Benchmark, Allocation and Launch Timeline

The fund tracks a customised version of the BSE 500 Dividend Leaders 50 Index, which comprises 50 companies selected from the BSE 500 universe based on their dividend payout history across sectors such as energy, technology, commodities and utilities.

In line with its mandate, between 60% and 100% of the fund’s assets will be invested in benchmark-linked equities, with the remaining portion allocated to money market instruments for liquidity.

The fund was launched at an initial unit price of ₹10 during the new fund offer period that began on January 16, with the first NAV scheduled to be declared on January 30.
