Parag Parikh Flexi Cap Fund raised its holding in HDFC BankCoal India and eight other stocks in August 2026, according to an Economic Times news report citing the monthly portfolio disclosed by PPFAS Mutual Fund. The fund had 34 stocks at the end of the month, against 33 in July 2026. 

The fund added 90.02 lakh HDFC Bank shares in August 2026. Its holding increased to nearly 15.87 crore shares from 14.97 crore shares in the previous month. 

Coal India and Indraprastha Gas 

The fund added around 82.15 lakh shares of Coal India, taking its holding to nearly 18.40 crore shares in August 2026. 

Indraprastha Gas recorded the largest increase in share count among the other stocks. The fund added 95.53 lakh shares, taking its holding to 11.50 crore shares from 10.54 crore shares in July 2026. 

Fund Raises Stake in M&M, Mahanagar Gas and Five Others 

The fund also increased its holdings in CIE Automotive IndiaMahanagar GasMahindra & MahindraMaharashtra ScootersNescoPetronet LNG and Bajaj Holdings & Investment. 

DLF was added to the portfolio in August 2026, with 1.37 crore shares purchased during the month. The fund did not completely exit any stock. 

Sector-Wise Allocation 

The portfolio covered 26 sectors, with banks accounting for the largest share at around 20.91%. IT accounted for 10.32%, while automobiles and ancillaries made up nearly 6.89%. 

HDFC Bank had the highest allocation as a percentage of NAV at around 7.63%. ICICI Bank accounted for 5.67% and Power Grid Corporation for 5.58%. 

Large-cap stocks accounted for 65.29% of the portfolio. The allocation to mid-caps was 3.44%, while small-caps accounted for 4.35% and others for 26.92%. 

Fund Size and Returns 

The fund's AUM stood at ₹1.47 lakh crore in August 2026, compared with ₹1.49 lakh crore as of July 31, 2026. It was launched on May 24, 2013, and is benchmarked against the Nifty 500 (TRI).

Conclusion  

The fund raised its holding in 10 stocks during August, while DLF became a new portfolio addition. No stock was fully exited during the month.
