On September 16, 2025, Indian stock markets ended higher on Tuesday as investors looked ahead to the US Federal Reserve’s policy decision, expected on Wednesday (September 17).
In India, markets also kept an eye on the meeting between top negotiators from India and the US, who were set to review progress on the proposed bilateral trade agreement (BTA).
At the close, the BSE Sensex rose 594.95 points (0.73%) to 82,380.69, while the NSE Nifty50 gained 169.9 points (0.68%) to 25,239.1.

- Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) advanced 2.31%, adding ₹81.70 to ₹3,528.90. Its day’s range was ₹3,530.30–₹3,612.00.
- Eicher Motors (EICHERMOT) climbed 2.21%, up ₹150.00 at ₹6,800.50, hitting a new 52-week high of ₹6,954.50.
- Maruti Suzuki (MARUTI) gained 2.14%, increasing ₹327.00 to ₹15,284.00, also touching a 52-week high of ₹15,594.00.
