Sona BLW Precision Forgings Ltd (Sona Comstar), a leading global mobility technology company, has entered into a strategic partnership with NEURA Robotics GmbH, a German pioneer in cognitive robotics.
The memorandum of understanding (MoU), signed in Metzingen, Germany, aims to co-develop next-generation robotic technologies, components, and sub-assemblies, as well as enable large-scale industrialisation of robots and humanoids across India and other international markets.
The collaboration between Sona Comstar and NEURA Robotics comes at a time when the global manufacturing and logistics sectors are witnessing rapid adoption of artificial intelligence (AI), automation, and advanced control systems. With computing costs declining and demand for intelligent automation rising, the partnership seeks to deliver scalable and efficient robotic solutions catering to both industrial and human-centric environments.
As per the exchange filings, Vivek Vikram Singh, MD & Group CEO of Sona Comstar, said, “We are excited to partner with NEURA Robotics to drive the next wave of innovation in industrial and humanoid robotics. This collaboration aligns with our vision to move beyond the automotive domain into intelligent manufacturing and service industries. By combining our engineering and manufacturing strengths with NEURA’s expertise in cognitive robotics, we aim to deliver world-class automation solutions.”
Echoing this sentiment, David Reger, CEO and Founder of NEURA Robotics, added, “True progress in robotics stems from partnerships that unite technology and purpose. Our collaboration with Sona Comstar brings together two innovation leaders — one redefining mobility, the other reimagining intelligent robotics — to set new standards for scalability and impact in one of the world’s most dynamic markets.”
Sona Comstar’s engineering and R&D capabilities, combined with NEURA’s AI-powered robotics platforms, are expected to strengthen India’s position in the global automation value chain. The partnership will focus on making Made-in-India robotics systems a reality, promoting local innovation, and enabling technological self-reliance in high-precision manufacturing.
