Sona BLW Precision Forgings Ltd. (Sona Comstar), a key mobility tech player, reported mixed results for Q1 FY26, as revenue and profits declined year-on-year due to temporary challenges. MD and CEO Vivek Vikram Singh said the quarter was affected by several temporary challenges, but they ended on a strong note with major EV order wins and global expansion plans. He highlighted a large driveline order from a North American OEM—the biggest in 2.5 years—as a major milestone.
Sona Comstar added two new EV programs in Q1, bringing the total to 60 EV projects with 32 different customers.
Founded in 1995 and headquartered in Gurugram, Sona Comstar is a global supplier of automotive components. It operates R&D and manufacturing centres across India, USA, Serbia, Mexico, and China.
