Paras Defence Inks 2 Year Deal with Germany’s HPS for Indian Defence and Space Projects

Paras Defence and Space Technologies Limited has entered into a strategic partnership with Germany’s High Performance Space Structure Systems GmBH (HPS), focusing on advanced technology solutions for India’s growing defence and space sectors. The collaboration was announced on August 6, 2025, and signals a move by Paras Defence to strengthen its technological portfolio in high-precision aerospace systems.
Collaboration Focused on Advanced Space Hardware
The 2 companies will work together exclusively in India to co-develop and deliver unfurlable and deployable antenna reflector subsystems. These systems include critical components such as the reflector and arm assembly, hold-down and release mechanisms (HDRM), thermal hardware, and deployment electronics.
HPS brings extensive expertise in designing, manufacturing, integrating and testing such space-based technologies, alongside capabilities in solid reflector antennas, lightweight structures, thermal hardware and nanosatellite equipment.
This partnership is designed to combine the unique technical strengths of both firms, with Paras Defence contributing regional execution capabilities and HPS offering proven space engineering experience. The scope of the agreement extends across future projects in India and is focused solely on the specified product line, ensuring exclusivity for both parties throughout the duration of the engagement.
Long-Term Growth Through International Synergy
The agreement between Paras and HPS is set for an initial term of two years, with the option for further extension based on mutual agreement. Both firms have committed to working exclusively with each other in India on the targeted technology during this period, highlighting a high level of trust and strategic alignment.
With India’s space and defence ambitions accelerating, this partnership marks an important milestone for Paras Defence as it positions itself at the intersection of indigenous manufacturing and international technology transfer. By leveraging global expertise to meet domestic needs, the company is well-placed to tap into a rapidly evolving segment of the Indian space industry.
