Nifty Financial Services in Green; Muthoot Finance, Cholamandalam & ICICI Prudential Lead Gains

The Nifty Financial Services Index (FINNIFTY) witnessed moderate gains today, up 0.37% from its previous close of 26,527.60. The index opened at 26,513.15 and touched an intraday high of 26,642.55, so far as of 10:13 PM.
Trading volume for the day stood at 1.48 crore shares, with a total value of ₹1,495.63 crore. Despite the positive momentum today, the index is still down 0.24% over the past 30 days, highlighting some short-term consolidation.
Top Gainers in the Sector
Among the constituents, Muthoot Finance emerged as a key performer, rising 2.60% to ₹3,011.10, supported by healthy volume of 1.69 lakh shares. Cholamandalam Investment & Finance also saw significant buying, gaining 2.04% to close at ₹1,623.40, while ICICI Prudential Life Insurance advanced 1.73%, ending at ₹613.00. These gains were driven by positive investor sentiment in non-banking finance and insurance companies.
Moderate Movers
SBI Life Insurance added 1.70%, and HDFC Life rose 1.14% to ₹791.15. LIC Housing Finance saw marginal change, down by 0.02%.
