Mumbai-headquartered Lemon Tree Hotels Ltd (LTHL), one of India’s largest and fastest-growing hospitality chains, has signed a new agreement for a property in Mahabaleshwar, expanding its presence in the Western India leisure segment.
The upcoming property, Lemon Tree Resort, Saj by the Mountain, Mahabaleshwar, will be operated under management by Carnation Hotels Pvt. Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of LTHL that oversees the group’s managed and franchised hotels.
Located in the heart of Mahabaleshwar, one of Maharashtra’s most popular hill stations, the resort will offer guests a refreshing getaway amidst lush green valleys, strawberry farms and mountain views. The property will feature 78 well-appointed rooms, a multi-cuisine restaurant, bar, banquet hall, swimming pool, and spa, providing a mix of leisure and business amenities.
The resort’s prime location makes it easily accessible, about 147 km from Pune International Airport and 160 km from Pune Railway Station, making it ideal for both domestic and international travellers.
Lemon Tree Hotels continues to focus on expanding its presence across key leisure and business destinations in India. Maharashtra remains one of its most important markets, with 15 operational and 11 upcoming hotels across various cities. The company’s strategy is to strengthen its brand presence in tourist hotspots while maintaining its signature balance of comfort, affordability and service excellence.
As per the exchange filings, Vilas Pawar, CEO, Managed & Franchise Business, Lemon Tree Hotels, said, “With this signing, we will expand our leisure portfolio in Maharashtra, a state where we have 15 operational and 11 upcoming properties. This aligns perfectly with our vision of offering refreshing and comfortable stays across key destinations.”

As of October 17, 2025, at 11:30 AM, Lemon Tree Hotels share price is trading at ₹166.09 per share, reflecting a surge of 1.54% from the previous closing price.
The addition of the Mahabaleshwar resort marks another milestone in Lemon Tree Hotels’ growth journey. With over 120 operational hotels across 80 cities and more than 110 in the pipeline, the group continues to strengthen its leadership in the Indian hospitality space. Through a combination of brand diversification and sustained expansion, Lemon Tree Hotels aims to cater to evolving traveller preferences across urban, leisure, and resort destinations.
