KEC International has received a new order worth ₹1,038 crore for setting up a 380 kV Gas Insulated Substation (GIS) in Saudi Arabia. The project includes design, supply, and installation work. The company shared the update in an exchange filing.
The contract has been awarded under KEC’s transmission and distribution business. This is one of the largest substation orders the company has secured so far. The project adds to its existing portfolio of power infrastructure work in the Middle East, where KEC has been executing several ongoing projects.
In the past few weeks, the company has announced multiple new projects. Earlier this week, KEC received orders worth ₹1,064 crore for a 380 kV transmission line in Saudi Arabia and ₹1,174 crore for transmission and distribution work across India and the Middle East. Last week, it secured new contracts worth ₹1,102 crore in various business areas, including civil and cables.
As per the exchange filings, Vimal Kejriwal, MD & CEO, KEC International, stated, “We are delighted with the successive order wins in our T&D business. In a landmark achievement, we have secured our largest-ever substation order. This prestigious order in the Middle East has widened our portfolio and strengthened our presence in the region. With this strategic win, our YTD order intake has surpassed Rs 16,000 crore, representing a healthy growth of ~20%”.
KEC International, part of the RPG Group, is an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) company. It operates in more than 110 countries and handles projects in transmission and distribution, civil infrastructure, transportation, renewables, oil and gas pipelines, and cables. The company is involved in both domestic and overseas infrastructure development.

As of October 16, 2025, 10:59 AM, KEC International share price was trading at ₹854.15 on the BSE, a 0.19% increase from the previous close.
The ₹1,038 crore project in Saudi Arabia adds to KEC International’s list of large-scale infrastructure orders. With continuous projects across multiple regions, the company’s overall order book has seen steady growth during the financial year.
