In the previous quarter, Infosys reported revenue of ₹42,279 crore, marking a 3.3% increase quarter-on-quarter. However, its net profit fell 2% to ₹6,921 crore.
The company’s performance reflected global demand challenges in the IT services sector, with cautious client spending and slower deal ramp-ups impacting profitability.

Over the past year, the stock has fallen about 23.64%, though it has gained 4.9% in the past 6 months. Over a five-year period, Infosys still holds a 31.57% return, reflecting long-term investor confidence.
Major New Contract in the UK
In a major international development, Infosys recently won a £1.20 billion (approximately ₹12,000 crore), 15-year contract from the NHS Business Services Authority (NHSBSA) in the United Kingdom.
Under this deal, Infosys will deliver the Future NHS Workforce Solution, which will replace the existing Electronic Staff Record (ESR) system. The platform will manage payroll and workforce operations for 1.9 million NHS employees, handling over £55 billion in annual payments.
The new system supports the NHS 10-year Health Plan and aims to modernize human resource management through an integrated digital platform.
