The Indian stock market benchmark indices, Sensex and Nifty 50, are expected to open higher on Friday, buoyed by strong global cues and improving domestic sentiment amid expectations of an imminent India–US trade agreement.

Asian equities advanced in early trade, tracking overnight gains on Wall Street after confirmation of a forthcoming meeting between US President Donald Trump and China’s President Xi Jinping lifted investor confidence.

On Thursday, Indian markets extended their winning streak for the sixth consecutive session, closing modestly higher. The Sensex climbed 130.06 points (0.15%) to end at 84,556.40, while the Nifty 50 added 22.80 points (0.09%) to close at 25,891.40.
