Closing Bell: Sensex, Nifty Closed in Red; Wipro Leads Gainers on December 9

On December 9, 2024, both the BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty50 ended the day in red. The BSE Sensex closed at 81,508.46, down by 200.66 points or 0.25%. Similarly, the Nifty50 also closed at 24,619.00, dropping by 58.80 points or 0.24%.
Sectoral Performance
On Monday, Nifty FMCG, Nifty Media and Nifty Auto ended in the red. Nifty Metal, Nifty Consumer Durables and Nifty Realty ended in the green. Nifty FMCG and Nifty Media dropped by more than 2%.
Top Gainers and Losers
On Monday, the top gainers on the Nifty included Wipro, Larsen & Toubro and SBI Life Insurance Company. In contrast, the losers were Tata Consumer Products, Hindustan Unilever and Tata Motors.
Oil Prices
