Closing Bell: Nifty 50 and Sensex, IT and Media Stocks Gained Most

On November 11, 2024, the benchmark equity indices ended almost flat. Nifty 50 was down 0.03% and settled at 24,141.30 while Sensex was up 0.01% to 79,496.15. Nifty Bank was up 0.61% to 51,876.75. The volatility indicator Nifty VIX was down 1.38% to 14.27, reflecting a rise in volatility.
Sectoral Performance
Nifty Healthcare and Nifty Media were the most falling sectors with a drop of 1.50% and 1.30%, respectively. On the flip side, Nifty IT and Nifty Financial Services rose 1.28% and 0.53%, respectively.
Top Gainer and Losers
Powergrid, Trent, HCLTech, Infosys and Tech Mahindra were the top gainers for the day, while Asian Paints, Britannia, Apollo Hospitals, Cipla and ONGC were the top losers on the NSE.
Oil Prices
On November 11, 2024, at 04:06 PM, Brent Crude stood at $73.04, reflecting a fall of 1.12%.
