Commercial passenger flight operations have begun at Adani Mundra Airport, with the inaugural Star Air flight arriving from Goa. The development adds scheduled air connectivity to Mundra and expands the Adani Group's airport network, which currently manages eight international airports across India.

Eight Air Services Launched

Alongside the commencement of operations, Star Air introduced eight new air services from Mundra.

The network will connect Mundra with Goa, Hindon, Surat, Belagavi, Bengaluru, Kolhapur and Nanded, improving access to the region for passengers and businesses.

According to the company, the new routes are expected to reduce travel time for trade, commerce, logistics and tourism activities.

Airport Infrastructure

The new terminal was inaugurated by Jeet Adani, Director, Adani Airports Holding Ltd.

The airport features a 1,900-metre runway capable of handling a wide range of passenger and cargo aircraft. It also includes a modern terminal equipped with spacious parking facilities and multiple check-in counters.

Focus on Mundra Port and SEZ

The company stated that the airport will support activity around Mundra Port, India's largest private port, and Mundra SEZ, the country's largest notified operational multi-product special economic zone.

The air link is intended to strengthen connectivity for businesses operating within the port and industrial ecosystem while facilitating the movement of people and cargo.

Strengthening Supply Chain Connectivity

According to the company, the airport provides an important last-mile connectivity link for trade moving through Mundra. The addition of air services is expected to improve integration with domestic and international supply chains.

The development also creates an operational link between the Adani Group's port and aviation businesses, bringing together two of its key infrastructure segments.
