HCLTech’s software division, HCLSoftware, has introduced Domino 14.5, a major upgrade designed specifically for governments and regulated entities. The update features enhanced privacy safeguards and the launch of Domino IQ: an artificial intelligence extension focused on sovereign data control and compliance.
The central highlight of Domino 14.5 is the integration of Domino IQ, a sovereign AI extension tailored to ensure strict data privacy and security. As part of the broader Domino+ sovereign collaboration suite, Domino IQ allows organisations to operate AI capabilities while retaining full control over sensitive information.
“HCL Domino 14.5 ushers in significant enhancements to the Domino+ sovereign collaboration portfolio, including the introduction of Domino IQ, a sovereign AI extension to the Domino platform that protects an organisation's data privacy and ensures information security,” the company said in a statement.
The release of Domino 14.5 aligns with rising concerns among governments and regulated sectors regarding foreign influence and the need for data sovereignty. Richard Jefts, Executive Vice President and General Manager of HCLSoftware, emphasised the growing relevance of self-reliant AI systems. “The importance of data sovereignty and avoiding unnecessary foreign government influence extends beyond SaaS solutions and AI,” he noted, underlining HCLSoftware's commitment to empowering clients with control over their digital environments.

As of July 08, 2025, at 10:33 AM, HCL Technologies share price is trading at ₹1,688.50 per share, a decline of 1.28%.
With the launch of Domino 14.5, HCLSoftware strengthens its position in the enterprise collaboration and AI market by providing tools that meet the critical privacy and sovereignty needs of sensitive organisations. The focus on secure, in-house AI implementation positions the product as a compelling solution in today’s regulated digital landscape.
