PM Kisan Yojana 21st Instalment: What to Do If Your Payment Status Is Still Pending?

The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) Yojana is gearing up for its 21st instalment, under which eligible farmers will receive a ₹2,000 grant directly in their bank accounts through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system.
Early PM-Kisan Instalment Disbursements in Some States
While an official release date for the 21st instalment is yet to be announced, news reports suggest that the Centre has already initiated early disbursement of funds to certain states affected by floods and landslides in September.
Farmers in Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, and Uttarakhand have reportedly received their instalments under the DBT system. The Jammu and Kashmir beneficiaries also received their payment on October 7.
What to Do If Your PM-Kisan 21st Instalment Status Is Pending?
A pending status usually indicates that some application formalities are incomplete. To resolve this, farmers should:
- Link their Aadhaar card with the PM-Kisan account.
- Verify their PAN card details, if required.
- Check for bank account issues or mismatched details in the portal.
Completing these verifications promptly ensures the smooth release of the pending instalment.

PM Kisan Yojana e-KYC and Registration: Key for Payment Release
The government has made it mandatory for farmers to complete e-KYC to be eligible for the benefits. As per the official PM-Kisan website, “eKYC is mandatory for PMKISAN Registered Farmers. OTP-based eKYC is available on the PMKISAN Portal or at the nearest CSC centre for biometric verification.”
Farmers need their Aadhaar number to complete this process. Those who have not finished the verification may face delays or a pending payment status.
